Project description
Deepen the synergy lidar/photometer to enhance the aerosol extinction determination.
We propose the use of the two radiometers ZEN-R (Sieltec Canarias S. L.), which performs downwelling sky radiance measurements in zenithal direction, the same direction used in a lidar system, in addition to vertical profiles from the lidar CE376 (Cimel Electronique). These two radiometers will be installed at Santa Cruz de Tenerife (52 m a.s.l.) and Izaña (2373 m a.s.l.) stations to allow the use of one and two layers inversion techniques.
Check the suitability of simultaneous and coincident AOD and vertical profiles measurements to enhance the lidar inversion in both one and two layers inversion techniques.
