The Ocean Color Instrument (OCI) is a low spectral resolution spectrometer that will measure the Earth-reflected radiance in the range 340\u2013890 nm in 5 nm steps.<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1997\" src=\"https:\/\/testbed.aemet.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/MFRSR_SCO-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"461\" height=\"393\" srcset=\"https:\/\/testbed.aemet.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/MFRSR_SCO-1.png 461w, https:\/\/testbed.aemet.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/MFRSR_SCO-1-300x256.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Figure.- <\/strong><em>UV-MFRSR582 sunphotometer installed at Santa Cruz Observatory (Tenerife).<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This project proposes a plan to collect relevant data for the validation of PACE-OCI atmospheric products UV aerosol index (UVAI) and 380 nm single scattering albedo (SSA). Since the AERONET program routinely collects aerosol optical depth (AOD) at multiple wavelengths, including 380 nm, no specific data collection activities for 380 nm AOD are proposed. The modified MFRSR have been designed to carry out these purposes and will be operated at multiple AERONET locations at low and mid latitudes in both hemispheres during field campaigns over three years.
