Project description<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the framework of Iza\u00f1a station activities as WMO-CIMO Testbed for Aerosols and Water Vapor Remote Sensing Instruments, the annual maintenance and SUN and SKY calibration of the Cimel sun-photometer installed at the AERONET station Tamanrasset_INM have been performed. The calibration activities of the sun-photometer have been carried out in the framework of AERONET-Europe within ACTRIS-2 project (European Union\u2019s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme; grant agreement No 654109). The present activity is also a contribution to the WMO Sand and Dust Storm Warning Advisory and Assessment System (SDS-WAS). This action has been coordinated by Dr. Emilio Cuevas.<\/p>\n

The annual calibration and maintenance is conducted to assess the quality control and quality assurance (QC\/QA) of the Cimel sun-photometer installed at Tamanrasset_INM to achieve the highest AERONET quality data level (level 2.0).<\/p>\n
