Scientific objective

Star photometry with all-sky cameras to retrieve aerosol optical depth and cloud properties at the Izaña Observatory under different atmospheric conditions, including both daytime and nighttime measurements. The retrieved AOD will be compared with the results obtained from other techniques available at the station, such as sun photometers, lidars, and in-situ instruments, in order to assess the performance and consistency of the all-sky camera method.
